What is NFC?
NFC stands for Near Field Communication. It's a short-range wireless technology that lets two devices talk to each other when they’re close—usually within a few centimeters.
You’ve probably used NFC without even realizing it. Things like tap-to-pay with your phone or contactless credit cards use NFC to securely exchange information.
In the case of this project, NFC makes things a little more magical: just tap your phone to the item and it instantly pulls up a custom web page, unlocks a secret, or starts a digital experience. No app required—just a quick tap.
If you want to rewrite your Digital Relic or anything else purchased from me you can rewrite, but some companies and extradimensional entities lock their NFCs so you can’t change them. Not me, said The Nys.
I use NFCtools as an app to rewrite and even control a lot of my house and schedule using NFC tools sister app NFC Tasks!
